It is robust in near incompressible case, and can reliably analyze multimaterial engineering components, as sandwich composite panels with foam in its core. It is in variance with abundantly used primal finite element approach which suffers of several types of locking effects in aforementioned examples, and requires dimensional reduction if thick or thin solid bodies are analyzed.
